Domus are currently working on behalf of a UK market leader in specialist mental health, operate throughout England and Wales caring for people with mental illness, learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified RMN/RNLD with managerial experience looking to take the next step in their career. As the Clinical Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Hospital Director from a clinical and operational point of view, overseeing the clinical team and ensuring the highest standards of car are being provided to all patients.
Key responsibilities of a Deputy Hospital Director:
- Provide operational leadership in the delivery of highest quality Nursing Services.
- To ensure systems are designed, implemented and monitored to ensure both efficient financial and clinical performance in the nursing department.
- Advise, support and educate nurses in their areas of service delivery.
- To set standards for the nursing services, reflecting and positively promoting the business of the hospital.
- Maintain high profile leadership in areas of clinical governance as they impact on the nursing department.
- Monitoring the impact of the Quality Improvement Strategy on the hospital’s business plan
- Liaison with the Hospital Director and Operations Director re strategic planning of service developments.
- Take part in and lead MDT meetings.
Essential criteria of Clinical Manager:
- Registered Nurse RNLD RMN/RMN
- 7 years post qualification experience
- Budgetary and financial management
- Project management
- Post Graduate qualification at degree level relevant to healthcare
- Management qualification (DMS or equivalent preferred)
- 2 years operational management at senior level
