We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated HCPC-Registered Psychologist to join our specialist Children and Young Adults Service in Wales.
You will work closely with the clinical team to support Children 10-18 with complex emotional, Interpersonal and behavioural needs.
Key responsibilities of a Clinical Psychologist:
- As a HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a key role in delivering specialist psychological services across our residential care and education settings
- You will be responsible for: Delivering evidence-based psychological assessments, risk assessments, and formulations.
- Providing individual and group interventions, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
- Offering psychologically-informed consultation to care, education, and therapeutic teams.
- Supporting staff training and development initiatives
- Contributing to service evaluation, development, and research.
Essential criteria of a Clinical Psychologist:
- To have BPS recognised psychology degrees
- UK HCPC registration
- To have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
- To be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
- To have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
- To have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a Learning Disabilities and Autism setting
- To be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
- To have previous experience of conducting research and project working
