I am recruiting for a Service Manager for one of my fantastic West London based clients. As the manager, you’ll be overseeing a Supported Living Service in Harrow area and be responsible for leading teams to provide support to adults with Learning Disabilities and associated needs. They’re looking for an experienced Deputy or Service Manager to hit the ground running and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring inspirational leadership and service delivery compliance across the board.
Key Responsibilities of a Service Manager:
- To follow and review a prescribed care/support plan; this will involve helping the service user regain confidence, safety and independence.
- To assess and transfer service users and support users to engage in positive activities which promote good mental health.
- To produce staff rota’s/time sheets information either in written or computerised format to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis.
- Supervising staff on an individual basis and holding team meetings as necessary to aid communication within the team. Supporting staff through their induction period and the completion of the Common Induction Standards.
- To ensure all quality performance target are met and feedback is provided to the Operational Group Manager/Head of Performance Management.
- To undertake the first visit of a client care programme to ensure the health and safety assessment is correct before handing the package of care begins, prepare weekly reports for the CPN during the first 6 weeks of placement.
- To collate monthly reports and ensure they are up to standard before presenting them to the Operations Manager for sign off.
Service Manager Requirements:
- A proven track record as a CQC Service manager within Learning Disabilities adult services
- Able to provide leadership and support the team through change, driving performance and improving compliance and the quality of support
- Able to assess new referrals under time pressure and produce person centred risk management plans
- NVQ 2 or 3
- Strong Deputy Manager or Service Manager experience
