Deputy Manager position in Bedfordshire. Recruiting for a medium sized care provider, who are a family ran care company. Must have management experience within care homes. Ideally looking for someone who is currently at deputy management level. Opportunity to work for a well supported, care provider. A large residential service for the elderly with dementia.
Key Responsibilities of an Deputy Manager:
- To manage a team of carers and work closely with the Home Manager
- Proven experience in assisting in managing fully compliant Residential Homes
- Experience in managing/ leading staff teams
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Deciding and initiating action
- To deputise for the function of the Registered Manager during their absence, while at all times supporting the decisions made by the Registered Manager
- To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain that currency of practice
- Responsible for clinical outcomes, quality of assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care staff training issues to ensure that residents have an excellent standard of care at all times.
Deputy Manager Requirements:
- Experience is care at management level is essential
- At least 3 years within a leadership or management role
- Ability to commute/ relocate to the home in Bedford
- 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday working hours
- Ensuring quality of care for residents
- Previous track record working within residential care companies
