Domus Recruitment are working closely with our client on the Wirral, who are looking for a Housing Officer on a temporary fixed term contract. This post will be across Birkenhead, where the provider have a stock portfolio of 900 properties and 3 sheltered schemes.

Our client are a medium-sized developing housing association operating exclusively on the Wirral Peninsula. They seek to be a caring organisation and prides themselves on the services they offer to their tenants.

Key Responsibilities of a Housing Officer:

  • To deliver high quality, customer focused housing management services in all aspects of the tenant and landlord relationship
  • To take a proactive approach to the core housing management functions of lettings and void management of general needs and to maximise income and occupancy rates
  • Ensure properties are let to ensure that rent loss and associated void costs are minimised in line with targets
  • To ensure tenancies are managed effectively in accordance with statutory requirements and the Association’s policy and procedure
  • Develop and implement local neighbourhood plans to enable proactive service provision, partnership working to improve services

Housing Officer Requirements:

  • Housing management experience
  • Good communication and organisation skills
  • Commitment to Tenant Engagement Community activities
  • Knowledge of housing law
  • Experience of Housing Associations
  • Experience of dealing with people with special needs
  • Someone that has managed lettings, ASB, day to day tenancy management


  • Salary circa £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
  • Car Allowance
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Flexible hybrid working
