I am recruiting for a fantastic London based charity who are looking for a Service Manager to lead within their Community Support model. You will be responsible for an established 7 bed service in Tower Hamlets which supports Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism in a Registered respite setting. My client is looking for a manager who will work flexibly and inspire a dynamic and mobile team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, individual support to people within their communities.

 

You will manage the day-to-day operations to deliver support that is in line with people’s wishes, aspirations, and choices. You will work with a senior management team to oversee a person-centred and sustainable support for people with a learning disability.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a lovely service with a longstanding team and really make a difference to the lives of the people you support. My client is also open to applications from Deputy managers who have experience in a CQC Registered Service and supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities of a Service Manager:

  • Promote social inclusion and the companies vision and values
  • Manage referrals and assessments using person-centred approaches
  • Monitor the quality, and health and safety of support
  • Develop and network within the local community to build working partnerships and new initiatives
  • Conduct a wide range of HR tasks, including line management of a dynamic team
  • Ensure the support is compliant with CQC and contractual agreements

 

Requirements of a Service Manager:

  • Health & Social Care Diploma level 5 or equivalent, or sufficient experience and value base
  • Extensive direct staff management experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience of working with people with learning disabilities and managing or supervising the provision of support.
  • Experience of developing and co-ordinating people’s circles of support
  • Have experience in developing support for people with a learning disability
  • Experience of increasing independence through positive outcome-based monitoring
  • Have experience of working to budgets
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Keep accurate records
